Dear colleagues,

As part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center, patients with gynecological tumors or breast cancer can be presented in the gynecological tumor board. This takes place every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In this interdisciplinary tumor board, specialists from various disciplines meet to discuss each patient with cancer. All aspects related to treatment are discussed. In this way, therapies can be optimized and modern aspects or studies (if desired) included in the treatment. After the meeting, the members of the tumor board issue a recommendation in writing. However, this is not binding, but is considered a recommendation by an expert commission. The response from patients and doctors is great, so that clinics from all over Germany are now presenting their patients to us.
Basically, every resident doctor or doctor who works in a clinic can introduce patients to our tumor board.

The Gynecological Cancer Center Marburg participates in numerous therapy studies for gynecological malignancies, the new therapeutic approaches of which are very promising in the treatment of ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer.
