As part of the Molecular Tumor Board (MTB), patients who have undergone a molecular pathological diagnosis can be presented. This takes place every second Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In this interdisciplinary tumor board, specialists from various disciplines meet to discuss the patients' molecular pathological findings. All aspects relating to the treatment are discussed. This means that individual targeted therapy options or studies can be developed as further treatment options. After the meeting, the members of the tumor board issue a recommendation in written form. However, this is not binding, but is considered a recommendation from a commission of experts. If the recommendation consists of off-label therapy, the treating doctor must submit an application for reimbursement of costs to the patient's health insurance company.

In principle, it is possible for any doctor working in private practice or in a clinic to introduce patients to our tumor board.
